Gibraltar International Comic-Con, A.K.A GICC is a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention held annually in Gibraltar.

GICC is a two-day event (Friday–Saturday) held between the 5th and the 6th of May with a special preview on the evening prior to official opening of the event on May the 4th for select guests pre-registered for the full event, as well as professionals and exhibitors.
The Gibraltar convention will host science fiction and fantasy related film, as well as television programmes and a larger range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres, including horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, webcomics and fantasy novels (amongst many other things).

STAR DASH is GiCC’s preview event to celebrate 40th anniversary of New Hope.


This is a outdoor game in which players meet and get briefed by Rebel officers that took part in many secret operations against Empire across all generations of Star Wars movies(check guests list above).

Mission is simple:
Players have to find secret code cards and collect special numbers. Problem is that the city is under Storm Troopers control. Players have to avoid contact by all means and safely get back to headquarters. It is a type of treasure hunt game with extra twist.

Winners of the game will be invited to celebrate the victory in O’Reilly’s on the 6th of May (Saturday 8pm) with our special Star Wars guests.

“Art-of-this-World” – Super hero Body Painting – Sarah Scarer Smith brings Fiction to Life

Friday 3pm – 9pm
Saturday 10am – 3pm

Sarah will change a model into a mystical super heroin throughout the day. Observe the transformation of the body used as a canvas for artistic expression. Two days of metamorphose happening right in front of your eyes. You will be also able to speak to the artist and model about the experience of this art form.


Cosplay Workshops

Join professional Cosplayers and learn how to build your own fantastic costumes, hear about the experience of taking part in competitions and showcasing your handy work in the world of Comic Cons and video game conferences around the world.


Computer Game Making Workshop – Stan Forczek

Saturday 10am – 2pm

This workshop will be a great introduction for anyone who would like to start their carrier in video game making. During the workshop Stan will explain the creative and technical processes behind creating games and build playable 2D games with the participants.


Illustration & Painting Workshop

Friday 3pm – 7pm
Saturday 11am – 6pm

If you are looking to advance your drawing skills, understand more about comic art or just enjoy the company of professional illustrators and other people that love to draw, this workshop is right for you. There will also be a chance to take part in competitions.

Competition subjects: Post Apocalyptic Landscape, Futuristic Creature & Fantasy Creature.

Physical struggle between a Protagonist and Antagonist (either fantasy, sci-fi or real).
Speed Painting Competition throughout both days
3 colours, 2 brushes 1 sheet of paper.

Medieval Sword Fighting Workshop – JP Mortiboys

JP is seeking to start a new HEMA club in Gibraltar or the surrounding area and he is looking forward to the opportunity of showing the local community and comic-con guests an overview of historical fencing, with demonstrations and hands-on workshops for those interested in picking up a sword.

Asociación Wyverns

LARP – Live Action Role Play is a type of an interactive and imaginative game where a group of people wear costumes representing a character they created and participate in an agreed fantasy world of their own creation.
Asociación Wyverns will show participants how to create LARP weapons, Costumes and Accessories.
You will be also welcome to test your skills in Soft Combat competition.

The Gibraltar Tabletop Gaming Society aims to bring together a wide range of enthusiasts from classic board games and RPG to card games and wargamers. If your heart is in games, this is the right place for you. The Society will offer a with wide range of games that you can try throughout the two days.

The best Warhammer 40,000 & Horus Heresy Battle using fully painted armies and awesome gaming boards waiting for you to try them. There will be competitions and tutorials will also be provided.

Sponsored by OMG Photophobic, a multitude of gaming consoles from different generations will give the participants’endless hours of game time on multiple stations. This is a journey back in time and technology, even as far as the ancient world when ATARI was created.

Super heroes and princesses will be waiting for the youngest Super heroes in the kid’s zone area, where games, mini competitions and entertainment will be available for the little ones to enjoy and revel in.

Here you can ask Guests to sign their autograph, speak to the artists and professionals from film, comic and game industry and take a photograph with the Actor, Illustrator, Author, Director, Prop Maker, Special Effects Expert and the list goes on….

The Eren Jaegerbomb is based on the famous and awesome anime “Attack on Titan” main protoganist Eren Jaeger….the clue is in the name!

Mesmerising Hyper- Real Paintings & the Man of the Hour

GiCC is proud to announce our own home-grown talent, Aaron Seruya, whose work is one of the best kept secrets in Gibraltar.

Aaron who spent the last year and a half creating a remarkable portfolio of Superhero and Villains Oil Paintings, a collection which has reached a staggering 75 individual pieces of artwork is a testimony to one man’s dedication and devotion to his true passion, Art & Superheros.

GiCC was offered the opportunity to take a sneak peek and catch a rare glimpse of the author’s work. For your chance to do so and meet the man himself, visit this year’s Gibraltar International Comic Con.
